Lindahl Printstudio
Lindahl Printstudio at Galleri Stattin offers high-quality prints to photographers, artists and others who demand the best. We mainly print on high quality cotton paper without optical brighteners for best archival resistance but can also offer simpler poster printing with the same high print quality. Format from A3 up to 110 cm width and any length. Delivery can normally take place within a few days.
Prints for exhibition
We work on both large and small projects. Visual artist Andreas Varro has a permanent exhibition in Örebro, and the challenge was to hang 24 original works in the first week before the opening. After the opening week, all the original works needed to be replaced with reproductions, as the exhibition is unattended in a public space. We helped Andreas print 24 original works at Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta. In addition to this, we also printed all the works on a simpler paper, but with the same high quality print quality.

Color management
When printing photographs, it is absolutely crucial to have absolute control over the color management if it is to be really good. But the end result, as you know, is no better than the weakest link. Therefore, it is useful to know the basics of color management and use the knowledge from the moment of shooting to the finished image file and on to the finished print. I have written a small article that deals with the subject and that may be helpful. You can find it here below.

FAQs
If you have any questions or concerns about the prints, do not hesitate to send a message to Janne or get in touch via the contact page.
How big prints can we make?
We write on a Canon imagePROFGRAF PRO-4100 with a Shiraz Rosetta RIP. It takes roll paper up to 44 inches, just over 110 cm. The print length is fairly unlimited. A few meters are no problem.
What resolution do you need to print?
It touches on how fussy you are and what your motive is. If you shoot fishing nets, you need more resolution than if you shoot sunsets over the sea, so to speak. 300 ppi is usually considered a good resolution for high-quality images. But I have printed as low as 120 ppi with good results even for rather fussy photographers.
What color space should the images be in?
Images can be in any color space provided it is embedded in the image file. Untagged image files are worse, then in that case I'll have to guess color space.
Which file formats work?
Feel free to use regular tif or jpeg. If it's tif then make sure they are merged to a background layer and without masks among the channels. Ideally, the filenames should not contain any å, ä or ö, then we need to rename them before the RIP accepts them.
Can you mount prints?
I'm mounting on an Easymount Sign 1400 with auxiliary heating. It is a simple laminator but works well. I assemble on Kapa and cardboard. If you want mounted prints please contact us well in advance so I have materials at home.
How long does the delivery take?
I usually print within 2-3 days. If it's panic, I'm not impossible. I hire Schenker for deliveries, it takes a few more days.
What other services do you provide?
I have a background in the world of architecture and have had many assignments in architectural photography. If you are interested in such things, get in touch.
